Clarifi is a non-profit community resource devoted to Lifelong Financial Literacy. For over five decades, we’ve helped people identify and secure the most important assets in their lives. Their non-profit professionals are pretty good at helping just about anyone set up a household budget, start a savings plan, pay down big loans – even stop a foreclosure and save a house when the mortgage hasn’t been paid for a while. They protect people from scams, predatory lenders and consumer rip-offs.
First State Community Action Agency
First State CAA is a member of the National Association of Housing Counselors and Agencies, Inc. (NAHCA) and a HUD approved comprehensive counseling agency serving all three Delaware counties. In support of their mission to eliminate the root causes of poverty, First State Community Action Agency operates a variety of programs designed to educate, motivate, and support our clients on the road to self-sufficiency.
HOND, Inc.
Housing Opportunities of Northern Delaware, Inc. (HOND) is a non-profit corporation promoting fair and equal housing opportunities in the sale and rental of housing in the state of Delaware. HOND provides comprehensive housing counseling programs, credit counseling, fair housing education, and foreclosure prevention.
Interfaith Community Housing
Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware provides comprehensive counseling for pre- & post-purchase, budget, credit, and mortgage delinquency in English and Spanish throughout the state of Delaware.
NeighborGood Partners
As a service provider for lower income households, NeighborGood Partners offers pre-purchase counseling, financial education and default and foreclosure prevention programs to the public. As an intermediary working on the Delmarva Peninsula, NeighborGood Partners helps locally based nonprofits to develop multi-family housing projects, mostly apartments, through a variety of development services such as financial packaging, asset management, and organizational development.
Neighborhood House
Neighborhood House’s mission is to provide programs that educate, enlighten and empower people to improve their lives. This is accomplished by offering comprehensive services that include a Five Star Early Learning Center, Family Services and Crisis Alleviation, year-round Youth Development Programs, Comprehensive Housing Counseling that includes credit building and first-time home buyer’s support and foreclosure counseling.
YWCA Delaware
Established in Delaware in 1895 as a voice for women’s issues, YWCA Delaware continues to evolve to meet today’s challenges in eliminating racism and empowering women. YWCA provides several program including housing counseling, foreclosure prevention, and small business counseling.
